The unconditional love from our pets is so life affirming. Thank you for your thoughts on Alzheimer's and its effect on our lives. We often forget the enormous impact the disease has on caregivers. I'm grateful you're writing about it.

Dog love is so pure and unconditional. I often think I'd be lost without my dog.

When I go out and come back home her entire body is joyful.

Glad you have Ringo and thank you for these stories of love.

The soul-soothing power of puppy love —-> through a dog-companion’s late adulthood is long lasting… and every Ringo story reminds us all of those prior precious bonds we once shared with our own pets. The photo of Bella with puppy-Ringo captures the essence of that mutual affection phenomenon.

Today on TBS Channel 5 at 2 PM is “PUPPY BOWL XX” - filmed in our own downtown arena again last year.

It’s bound to tickle our souls, while reminding us that many hard working city officials and business owners continue to keep Glens Falls and the Warren County area as a destination location for countless year-long-family-oriented activities, as well as one-offs which generate $$$ for our local economy.

We are so blessed to live in the North Country. Thank you, Will, for reminding us of that with your weekly reflections.

You forgot to mention how good Ringo is at digging holes. He could have a career as a miner.

Several years ago, when our dog of eighteen years was still with us, Shannon and I were home alone one evening—Meg and the kids were out. I was sitting on the couch in front of the fireplace reading a book. Shannon jumped up on the couch and put her head on my lap, where she spent the whole evening. At one point I looked down at her looking up at me, and I literally said out loud to her, “Shannon, there’s a little bit of me in you and a little bit of you in me.”
