Why would you bring up Biden? It has nothing to do with the article or a sexual abuse case in Ohio.

You need to do more research on Jordan and his time at Ohio State. Many sources have said that he certainly knew about the sexual abuse. Students told him and he chose to turn a blind eye and deaf ear. The Supreme Court has given the go ahead to lawsuits brought by 8 former students . Jordan will certainly be implicated.

Carl so now you want something just a short time ago you were unwilling to give. When you posed a question, not in search of knowledge but to make an accusation.

The question in question. “Answer me …. How did your guy amass so much wealth on 50 years of public service salary. Before claiming book deals do a bit of honest research on the subject.”

I’m not sure what you define as “wrong doing.” Wrestlers who were there had conversations with Jordan about the abuse and say he did know about it. Are you saying that “looking the other way” is not wrong? What would you have done?

How do you expect sexual assault victims to prove their statements? DNA on a dress perhaps? I can’t speak to the credibility of the victims in the Ohio case but the single sexual assault claim against Biden came from a proven dishonest accuser.

At the risk of this turning into another long to-do, I’ll say that, yes Jordan has been accused of “wrongdoing.” He’s been quite credibly accused of turning a blind eye to sexual abuse while he was a coach at Ohio State. I believe at least some of those accusations were under oath. I’d call that wrong.

He also owes this country testimony on his actions pertaining to January 6th. He was too much of a coward to go in front of that committee. Mustn’t make Trump and his supporters angry. We’ve seen quite well how people voting against Jordan have been treated. Praise for them to vote against him despite the threats they’ve received. Maybe the fever of Trumpism is breaking.

“Of course being a Republican Jordan is held to a much higher standard than are those on the left.”

Yes, anytime a Republican is held to account they’re being victimized. 🙄

“Just another Stefanick attack piece. It will fail to turn the district as have the rest.”

This is me being petty, but why can’t people on the right spell her name correctly? Of course she’s going to win it’s the reddest area of NY. That’s why she’s running in upstate and not in Albany where she’s from. Or do you believe she was really living in Westport at her parent’s summer camp?

Why do you keep changing the subject?

Since those wrestlers are suing Ohio State it pretty much goes without saying that their accusations are under oath. Maybe Gym will go and testify. Oh right, January 6th Committee. 🤣

If it’s no crime, no foul then Al Franken should still be in Senate. Because Democrats have such low standards. Someone should’ve told Sen. Gillibrand.

If Franken had been a Republican, particularly in our present Trump-era, he’d be serving still with no problems.

Hi Carl, "A good pice in Ohio Politics is worth a read.", is a bit vague. its empty with little meaning. Care to supply a link to the article in question?

Hillary was wrong...these folks are beyond deplorable. They are depraved.

I still feel bad that she felt she had to apologize for speaking her truth, which is now our truth.

Again, Sedition Stefanik has only one goal. Self Interest is and was her only concern. She will say and do anything to achieve her goal.Miss Harvard knows that Jordon was not only complicit at Ohio State but also in Washington on January 6th. Stefanik has no integrity and I am completely embarrassed and ashamed of her behavior. She should be too but without a moral compass, that is impossible.

“If, as Elise Stefanik says, Jim Jordan is “a mentor,” what are the lessons he taught?”

Be a sell-out? Might makes right? Worship mammon? Sell your soul to any bidder?

I’m still hopeful that there’s more to come on Gym from both January 6th and Ohio State. Elise won’t be bothered since any shame she might have felt has long since been excised. Pretty sure Trump didn’t pay much for her soul that with so many others in stored in a tacky bathroom at Mar a Lago.

Beautiful picture of the 🌈

The sermon today was about finding someone to imitate. It reminded that one of the precepts of Stoicism is also to find a role model.

Look for a better one than Gym Jordan. Or Elise Stefanik.

Stefanik needs to lose in 2024.

I read the in-depth article on Gym in yesterday's Washington Post. His father certainly was a hard a$$. I think Gym has some real skeleton's in his closet. It would do him and us a world of good if he just opened that door and aired it out.

I always say that Donald Trump should’ve spent some of that half billion he inherited on therapy. We’d all be better off.

I, too, read the article in the Washington Post, and had the same reaction. It would serve the constituents Jordon represents to give serious consideration to retiring him..

I was sad and angry after reading your article Will. It proves that Stefanik only cares about getting attention for herself connecting with any of the rats who are in so called positions of power . Wait til it all comes tumbling down - on her I hope!

I have said over and over that I just don’t understand how anyone with a brain can continue to support these people. I can understand how some people supported trump and his cronies- desire for a change and all that- but after continued evidence of lies, cheating and lack of morals and ethics, why aren’t they voted out of office???? The North country needs to do its part and vote Stefanik out!

The rainbow: symbol of hope. As Vaclav Havel, the first president of the liberated Czech Republic wrote, “I am not an optimist, because I am not sure that every thing ends well. Nor am I a pessimist, because I am not sure that everything ends badly. I just carry hope in my heart. Life without hope is an empty, boring, and useless life. I cannot imagine that I could strive for anything if i did not carry hope in me. I am thankful to God for this gift. It is as big a gift as life itself.”

Great column, Will. When I read about how "divisive" our nation has become, I think yes, there are extreme sides who will never agree. On one side there is Group A, a faction who will accept the unacceptable, who will turn a blind eye to abuse, who will deny proven facts. And on the other side is Group B, those who demand honesty and integrity from our elected officials, care about educating children, care about personal safety. Problem is, both groups think they're Group B.

I was googling something recently and happened on this recent press release from Ohio Republicans. This is the kind of nonsense they’re about: anti-Semitic tropes & misogyny.

I did look up the author, Garth Kant. Apparently, he wrote for the Daily Caller and WND so the anti-Semitism and misogyny are baked in.

Will - Thanks for providing concrete data and stats about Jordan's complicity. Facts matter. Now....do you have any proof of Hillary's sex ring in the basement of a pizza parlor, a delusion which some are more inclined to believe, including Stefanik?

I was previously a team physician for a major Ivy League university. I am well aware of the boundaries that any such physician must observe. The coaches have an obligation to report any suspicion of a violation of such boundaries. While Jordan may not have had clear evidence, he clearly had numerous anecdotal reports and had an obligation to report.
