Since that was the only real discrepancy to come out during the hearing, to what was Rep. Stefanik referring? Rep. Stefanik does have a habit of being very vague on the details.

Stefanik needs to recall that every January 6th committee witness was a republican! Her stating it was a democratic witch hunt couldn’t be further from the truth. But then again, she is never close to truth.

Was I better off four years ago? Hell no. A mishandled pandemic (Just like a miracle it’ll be gone) was killing hundreds of thousands of people. Medical professionals were wearing garbage bags due to lack of PPE. TFG had disbanded the pandemic team his predecessor had put in place years before. He later told an interviewer that he always knew Covid was serious but he played it down. Over 1,000,000 Americans died. TFG golfed.

Thank You Dr. Smith for being brave, honest and showing sick and dying individuals in the mist conspiracy theories, etc. during the Pandemic. People to this day still believe this was a hoax by the government and all the people who supposedly died wasn't true. This country is not the same since the Pandemic, there is no disputing that! Who would have ever thought this could happen to the USA in the year of 2020! Business' closed, people lost their jobs, necessities were scarce, mental health issues were on the rise, people were not allowed to see their loved ones who were hospitalized and dying from this virus. Slowly, very slowly, we are returning to somewhat normal. New business' are cropping up and people are once again out and engaging with others. We now have vaccines, just as we have for the flu and other serious communicable diseases, but now we enter a whole new realm of conspiracy!

All I remember four years ago is a President who hid his head under the pillar when it came to dealing with the pandemic. Jared Kushner was assigned by his father-in-law to manage distribution of medical supplies to the country and we saw how well that process worked - NOT.

March, 2020 .... we descended into the world of alternative facts. Covid was a hoax, and drinking Clorox would fix it anyway. I spend winters in New York City and I saw those refrigerated trucks.

Now Covid is being dismissed as "flu." It isn't. Up-to-date vaccines help us stay alive. Masks in crowded indoor spaces do too. Let's be smart.

And it's sad to think that American tax dollars aided the Chinese with unleashing this pandemic on the world.

Cassidy Hutchinson testified, under oath, the story that she was told. She has more courage than Stefanik and all the Trump servants. I would trust her respect for the truth over a gaslighter like Elise. I’m really beginning to hope that the moral cowardice and mental contortions she has to put herself through are not just uncomfortable, but painful. Good luck to her on that veep spot because she really deserves it.

And yes, unbelievably, Stefanik asked on Super Tuesday, “Are you better off than 4 years ago?” Yes, four years ago the country was led by a narcissistic, pathological liar with delusions of dictatorship and was served by Republicans with no sense of morality. They still serve him.

Sen. Britt matched Stefanik’s nihilism by going on national television, flouting her supposed Christianity, telling the most despicable lie.

I have faith that these anti-democratic, unAmerican goons will be rejected in November. When they’re losing Liz Cheney, Ken Buck and all true conservatives, the cult is starting to get very small. I look forward to seeing what it all looks like when Trump is gone.

However he goes, the conspiracism they’ve unleashed is gonna be wild. When Antonin Scalia died there were theories he was smothered with a pillow. With Dear Leader it’s gonna be off the charts crazy now that rational thought doesn’t matter.

Mr. Tingley, you have mentioned your books several times.. and the one I read.. I know they are worthy of a read...

but I have had a question for a while.

I was always wondered who owns your columns.. I think many/some newspapers would suggest all you did for them was their property.

All my columns were copyrighted by The Post-Star and Lee Enterprises. They were gracious enough to give me permission to reprint the columns I chose for my books. I do thank them for that in each of the books. They also granted me permission to reprint Post-Star photos as well.

I own and have read each of Ken's books. They are outstanding and a most worthwhile read.

I mentioned this before.. and in light of pos_tfnkkk's lies

People consider reading: "Enough," Cassidy Hutchinson

and remember when pos_tefnkkk talks and puts up lies, she is NOT under oath..

Not only was Ms. Hutchinson under oath when she testified, her book would have been fact checked, many times over.. Neither of which does mia_POS_tfnkkk have to undergo

Cassidy Hutchinson's book and Liz Cheney's book are outstanding in explaining the total devastation caused by the Trump administration. It truly amazes me that Trump is still able to have such a tight grip on the GOP. I find it unconscionable that members of the GOP are such sheep in kowtowing to such a despicable, disgusting con man.

I have been thinking about LIz Cheney's book.. thanks for the recommendation

One thing I fear that the person was in total support of hmpy trmpy .. Hutchinson's book did this

4 years ago I was ashamed for our country of the man who was president, disgusted with those who enabled him and pretended he could do no wrong when he was doing wrong openly, and fearful of an unknown disease that killed my cousin’s husband in Italy and seemed unstoppable in its spread. When Biden won I thought our nightmare of having a selfish, narcissistic, misogynistic, thoughtless, president completely devoid of empathy or compassion was over…but Trump just wouldn’t go away, and for the life of me I will never understand why Republicans, many of whom absolutely detest him, didn’t usher him off the stage in disgrace. So yeah, absolutely 100%, my life and the life of this nation is better off without Trump. And it would be even better if Elise went into the sunset with him.

After reading your column early this AM, and throughout the day with TV reminders of this being the 4th anniversary of the Covid nightmare, I've been in tears, triggered by memories of the goodbyes to loved ones I had to do, over the phone, before they were disconnected from ventilators.

My younger cousin, an Albany nursing home RN, was on a vent for 3 wks. at Albany Med after contracting Covid from her patients. The restricted ICU access prevented me from being there, as well as her pregnant daughter, who lived just a few blocks away, and who was being urged to decide about taking her mother off the vent... or doing a trach to prolong her life, but not save her from whatever level of pain she might be feeling in a comatose state.

I had to do some fast talking over the phone to help her understand that although her Mom had failed to do a living will , she and I had discussed for many years about not wanting to ever be on a vent, if no hope for survival, based on all our respective years as ICU nurses. I explained that with major organ failure her mother was already transitioning toward the next life, and her gift of love as a daughter would be releasing her mother from a body that could no longer support her. She made the most difficult decision of her life to allow the vent disconnect... and the ICU Drs. and nurses allowed her into the ICU, fully gowned, masked, gloved to sit at her mother's bedside, hold her hand, and say what she needed to say before her mother moved on to eternal life.

A few months later, the husband of my close friend in Mass. used his cellphone to allow me to say my goodbye to my friend who was about to be disconnected from her Covid vent, to remind her of all the patients we had mid-wifed into the next life as hospice co-workers, to imagine them all with open arms to welcome her into a life without pain, to remind her that her life-long love for her family and friends would live on... and we woud never forget her.

I could never have imagined that several months after that I would be saying goodbye to my own beloved brother Paul...over the phone...as I couldn't fly to Florida because of my impaired immune system in the midst of Covid cases rising. Paul declined further medical interventions and my brother Bill held his cellphone up to Paul's ear as I poured my heart out, with a lifetime of remembrances and gratitude for him, and Bill, being my best friends, and always having my back since childhood. Though Paul had been in and out of consciousness, Bill told me Paul kept nodding his head and seemed to be taking in everything I was saying. Suddenly my brother Paul's voice came in loud and clear..."All will be well, Sue...all with be well..." His last words were to comfort me...he died 2 days later.

There's a saying "Grief is love with no where to go..." Millions of other family members are still grieving in our country about the inability to be "there" for our loved ones. Covid created a National PTSD... a gutting ache with flashbacks like today, which might have been easier to bear if it wasn't for the shameless, self-absorbed, center-stage-craving narcissist monster in the White House during the worst of it...and his persistent, perverted insistence on being president again.

We must get more women of all generations voting this year!

Took me a day n some to be able to jot this down.

2015 till now I knew something was up. Now I feel his time in office was an assault on all things decent and kind.

The things that come to mind say so much of how I feel and how it effected this country.

None of us are perfect and it shows so obviously.

He wounded this country with his shallow empty self.

His stupid wave and glammed smile, waving through a window in his Presidential SUV

with no mask as he was being treatedfor Covid. Not a shred of concern for anyone but himself.

"What a dick."
