The NY Times describes it as .....”Once a proud moderate millennial Republican, she has transformed herself into a MAGA warrior styled after and wholly loyal to former President Donald J. Trump. That includes seeking opportunities to stoke the outrage of G.O.P. base voters — especially when it comes to what they characterize as “woke” elitism in academia.”

A continued and ongoing pursuit of power well beyond NY 21. When was the last time she devoted her media time to issues that impact our rural district?

That said, Hunter Biden is a cancer with no redeeming value. If Biden loses, Hunter will have contributed to that.

Hunter Biden sought to profit off his name like so many other people with a famous last name. He has zero impact on my vote.

This is the mistake partisans make — they think their vote in the only vote. But the albatross that is Hunter Biden can sway, what, two percent of the vote? Will two percent matter? Uh, yeah…

People who are letting Hunter Biden sway their vote and yet ignoring everything the Trump kids have done in and around the White House were never going to vote for Biden in the first place.

Elise Stefanik hasn't changed one iota. Before, she pretended to be a middle of the road Republican because she believed it would help her win in her district. Now, she plays the role of ultra MAGA, because it allows her ruthlessly ambitious goals to be reached.

Stefanik, last time I checked, went to Harvard for undergrad only! She should have gone to law school, too, because she is going to get herself in big trouble if she keeps doing this type of nonsense. Her attack dog performance in the hearings this week with the 3 college presidents was comical and amateurish. Reminds me of the January 6th hearings performance that made her famous. I suspect her career in Congress will not be a long one and that she will bail for a guaranteed FOX News job in the millions. Our district needs to vote her out ASAP! This is a shallow, soulless, evil, power hungry, carpet bagging, a** kissing, Trump TeaThugligan MAGA Moron, POS.

That would make sense. She's a being of lesser intelligence IMO given that she has stooped to the level of political theater and grandstanding just for fame and favor with Dear Leader Trump!

An extremely well-educated friend, who is a tax attorney as well as a political science major, refers to

"the Biden crime family." She seems not to need evidence for this, although her livelihood was predicated on shaping strategy from evidence. Elise wants to be president. She believes MAGA and Trump-worship is the path. I admit she did a good job with those wishy-washy university presidents, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

It’s incredible to me to believe there are still people like Stefanik, Johnson et al who are willing to swear total allegiance to Trump. Rick Wilson came out with his, apparently, truism early in the Trump presidency that everything Trump touches dies. I certainly underestimated how true that would be. Nearly everyone who has served him has had their life reduced to ashes.

Cohen has gone to prison. Lindell bankrupted his business chasing after conspiracy theories. Guiliani had the highest cachet after 9/11 and has been reduced to a laughingstock by allying himself to Trump. McCarthy got his speakership that only outlasted a guy who died as speaker and he’s now out of Congress.

I’m sure Stefanik thinks she’s more clever than all of them and can ride the tiger and keep a firm grip on its ears. I’m here for it.

If they’re going to impeach they should get off the pot. I’m sure the cultists are as sick of waiting as I am. It’s probably the best thing that could happen for Biden’s re-election effort.

I appreciated Cheney’s tidbit about ES getting upset over the letters comparing the two. Apparently someone is reading them anyway. Maybe that’s Degrasses’s job. I wondered what he actually did beyond Twitter trolling.

Thanks for your comments on Cheney's book. Hearing the Stefanik anecdote on The Rachel Maddow Show prompted me to write a letter to the Post Star the next day. Thanks for your long history of truth telling about Stefanik.

Another example of partisan hypocrisy and double standards on the part of our congress-woman. She rationalized her vote against expelling Santos from Congress by asserting he had not been given due process. What about due process for the Bidens?

Where was her rage against anti-Semitism when Trump made his comments re Charlotte and the “good people on both sides”?

As Hanukkah begins, “Shalom!” To our Jewish friends!

She is choosing power, using lies to get that power, saying that Biden's crimes are the worst of any administration...because he cosigned for a truck payment (that he later paid back), because he didn't declare that he had purchased a gun (which he never used ) when he had a record of drug usage...Meanwhile her "leader" has tried to overthrow democracy, has has lied about everything, she and all her Maga followers still saying the election was rigged, was stolen, despite all the evidence (throuugh actual testimony and countless court cases) saying that Trump lost, that false electors lied, and that Trump has said what he would do when/if elected: literally take over as a despot, putting only loyalists i in power and banning protests, imprisoning good people, sealing the borders to asylum seekers and drilling everywhere.--using the insurrection act. Stefanik never mentions trump's great crimes...She nd he and Maga project onto others "crimes"--like accusing others of anti-semitism whille supporting candidates who spout racism and anti-semitism. She writes that it is an honor to serve her constituents. It is a dishonor and shameful that she is our legislator and would be vice president under Triump. My "consolation" (which is not really a consolation) is that Mussolini, el ducci, cheered and obeyed, was hung upside down after the war ended, plunging our world into death and destruction.
