Simply commenting on a person's sudden change in appearance is sexist?!
So by that logic if a person lost 25 pounds and I comment that means it's sexist? Or they get a haircut?
We can't help but notice the difference in appearance of Stefanik as she now has a *television * look. Which seems to be where she spends much of her time lately.
I feel like you come here to bait us and I shouldn't answer your comment.....but imo this was not meant to be sexist. More of an observation of the evolution of traitor Stefanik.
When the ex-POTUS and his enablers put out a never ending stream of unadulterated BS, and much of the corporate/mainstream/legacy media reports on it as if it needs to be taken seriously, we have a very big problem. The emperor’s got no clothes…it ain’t a subject for debate.
No regrets here for that guy either. The only redeeming thing (not HIM) was the civil trial that DID find him guilty. The verdict in the criminal trial was CRIMINAL!
Great video and your description of the Zoom session with Common Cause about disinformation was excellent. Is critical thinking ever taught now? My husband claims he had such a course way back in high school .......so I better have PROOF for any of my claims....LOL. As for the piece about O. J. Simpson---I heard two different interviews, from two black commentators, saying that it was a definite divide at the time between black and white opinions about the trial....it was NOT the idea that as black people they felt Simpson was innocent......it was the fact that finally, a black man had been able to be represented in the judicial system with great lawyering.
I heard something similar. The commentator said that he and other black people felt like after years of white people getting away with killing black people, finally, a black guy got away with killing white people. Not a nice sentiment, but honest, I guess.
The basic problem is that the free press has standards of professional conduct such as diligence, honesty and avoidance of harm that Republicans lack. Look at Elise Stefanik, for example.
Hey, Ken, Rensselaer County resident here. The idea of county boards of elections safeguarding the electoral process has been massively disproven here. As you may have read, the Rensselaer County Republican commissioner has pleaded guilty to felony charges of voter fraud. Other electeds and staff have also been charged. Some have already plead guilty. Trials are scheduled for others. Republicans would have us believe that black and brown and immigrant people are committing voter fraud. That claim is totally untrue but it serves as raw meat for the MAGA cult. What is true is that voter fraud and voter suppression is a common GOP tool.
The Sun needs to sue Pueblo GOP for violating Sandra Fish’s constitutional rights. Obviously the first amendment is an anomaly to the GOP. One more example of how our democracy is under attack from within.
here’s a link to the lead story in today’s denver post. note how colorafo gop chair dave williams says he would have excluded the post and the nbc news affiliate from covering the assembly.
Re OJ - Shame on you, but at least you openly confess to your rather inappropriate reaction. My wife watched the trial from beginning to end, and her opinion was that the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Re disinformation - Too often it is simply the label applied to that with which the labeler disagrees.
Two things seared into my memory were the rioters on Jan. 6 storming the Capitol building, the removal of the American flag and the replacement with a Trump flag. Distant memory was the iconic photo taken Feb. 19, 1945 of our US Marines raising the American Flag. The marines planted the American flag on that hill that historical day, not a presidential flag. How far we have fallen as a country. We dishonor the sacrifices, the valor, heroism and grit of the Greatest Generation. Shame on us.

It's the truth. And my remark is not sexist. Simply my opinion.
There's a difference between disparaging and sexist .

It may be the biggest threat.

OJ is finally forced to face himself and the two he killed.

Well, I disagree with that!

Awful! Wealth played a part. We need criminal justice reform.
