I think the reason people are not getting the shots is, quite honestly, stupidity. The information is out there, and so aren't the conspiracy theorists who are ignorant enough to believe them. They follow the right-wing nonsense, and can't seem to display any common sense whatsoever. I have a family member who was convinced that the pandemic is a hoax.........until he and his girlfriend got it. Changed their minds really fast! Both have recovered............and now have their shots. They were very lucky, it could have gone very badly fast. So, unfortunately that's probably what it's going to take for these idiots to understand that this virus should be taken seriously.
