I also received the Stefanik campaign mailer described as a newspaper, probably paid for by my tax dollars. Stefanik is in the minority party and the record shows she voted against nearly every benefit that she claims she delivered to her constituents. Most of the benefits flowing to people in the North Country are because courageous Democrats; in many cases at huge political costs; wrangled their forces to get these passed. My mom was a public health nurse, and she would be so upset at Stefanik's spouting of lies and misinformation. We would never have controlled polio with folks like her in power. The only thing she seems to care about in her district is keeping the federal money hose pumping for Ft. Drum.
I was at Albany Med on Friday. That was the last day for elective procedures. I waited two months for my surgery. The staff knew this was coming, but didn't know when cancellations would begin. It's tomorrow. Due to serious fractures, a five hour procedure piecing my arm back together, I have been unable to touch my face for nearly 7 months in spite of four months of rehab. I got in under the wire, those patients scheduled for Monday weren't so lucky. Your body your choice to vaccinate you say, you took away many people's choice for treatment when you choose to flood our hospitals.
Stefanik doesn't know where NY21 is anymore. She is too busy trying to please the Orange Menace in FL, holding fund raiser after fund raiser with him. Stefanik began under fraudulent conditions, using a camp address for her residency, no wonder she is a disgrace to us. We must turn her out in November, no matter how much 'out of state' money she has amassed! Stefanik is willing to subvert our very democracy for the likes of Donald Trump? A con man? That's how power hungry she is for HERSELF, NOT NY21!
I hope Ken can record his interview with Joe Donahue and post it to this site. I enjoy all of Joe's writers interviews on WAMC. He so well prepared and asks the most insightful questions. He must read hundreds of books a year!
