I always feel blessed by Nature when I see a heron. They are magnificent. In that wetland light, this one really looks blue!

I find that capturing the moment with a lens is therapeutic. Salem Art Works is a rather amazing place and I always appreciate hearing about new trails and parks in this beautiful place. we call home. Try Hudson Crossing Park sometime. It's on Route 4 just north of Schuylerville. Lock 5 is part of the experience.

Thank you for your photos, Will. When you crop the top, the heron takes on a calming wilderness feel. Love it.

Enjoyed photos, especially heron shot, which I zoomed in on and saved with my smart phone that is smarter than me. :)

The stone circle is actually a firepit. You can get permission from SAW to have a bonfire there. They also do Music on the Hill a few times in summer. They set up a stage and have local bands come play and have food trucks and you can sit and look at the view and listen to live music. I highly recommend it! It is a really lovely place and we are lucky to have it here.
