Did you by chance read the article about Jim Zullo in last Saturday’s Daily Gazette written by Tim Reynolds who covers basketball for the AP? When I read it one of the people I thought of, in addition to Jim who I have known for more than 60 years, was you. It reads like a story that you might have written.
If you haven’t read it and can’t access it, I’d can email it to you, I would just need your email. Mine is rsgalinsky@yahoo.com.
Great guy. I worked with him for a few years. He truly cared about the kids he coached. I was amazed at how well he connected with them despite being half a century older.
Ken,

Yes, it was an Associated Press story - Tim used to work for me at Post-Star - but I did read the story on Zullo.
I would imagine your tribute to Coach Puricelli today will be a great comfort to his family.
Your reflective statements…”Pete never stopped coaching…he taught life”. .. says it all.
Great column!

Ken that was amazing and well written. I went to lake George high with Peter and he was a basketball inspiration even then.
