Happened to my husband and me. But thanks to being vaccinated and boostered all we had were bad colds but still no fun. I still wear a mask when out and about.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. My wife and I just went through the same. We had kept up the safeguards and masked while others didn't. As you note, we are thankful we are vaxed and boosted - science is a great thing. The take-away was: if you have cold symptoms of ANY KIND, test yourself. The professionals tell us that the home test kit is very accurate. And, you'd think I wouldn't have to write this, but wait the 15 mins. before throwing the test kit away.
