Really sorry to hear about Barry Melrose’s diagnosis. I don’t follow hockey, but I know he’s someone that’s been great for the sport and the GF region. It sounds like he’s mentally up for the fight.
Also, I had seen the cuts to WaPo. That’s pretty sad, too. I’m a longtime subscriber. I appreciate what Jeff Bezos has done in backing them despite what’s not a moneymaking play. Certainly a better use of money than the $44 billion Elon Musk set on fire.
Speaking of Xitter. I re-upped, for trolling purposes only. May as well be honest. I visited the reps trying to give “George Santos” the boot. Just wanted to share that Elise knew GS was a con man when she was backing him and that she didn’t care about their efforts because she’s in a nice ruby red district that she touristed into and is too busy trying to be be Veep to worry about it anyway. Hope that makes them feel better.
Given the absurdly low offers that so many papers offer ($4 a month for the first year of the NYT, but you cancel and immediately get the same offer to resubscribe; most Gannett locals offer a 6 mo. for 99 cents deal), it's easy to see why their are hemmorhaging money. They say you get what you pay for but soon, there will be nothing to pay for.

And horrors of horror… with Scalise out of the running for Speaker…guess which Trumpett has those aspirations?
I like the quote “live life fully…..”.

poor santos (and pos_tefanik), thinking they can lie their way out of lies
