Ken, no one is a big fan of the Cowboys. Well maybe folks living in Texas. Texas is fast becoming the who's who of who can race to the bottom. They're winning.
I lived in Galveston back in the 70's, and I have never seen Texas the way it is today! A few people good naturedly picked on me for being a 'yankee', but I was always welcomed. Today's Texas is chock full of haters! Southern hospitality is dead in Texas!
Ken, before you go all hyper over Texas, how about starting with local politicians who, having sworn to uphold our Constitution, have either outright DENIED the legitimacy of the last Presidential election or have NOT publicly acknowledged its legitimacy. I know of one Town councilman in Washington County who flew the Trump flag for months after President Biden was elected. Search as I may, I have found no evidence that Elise Stefanik acknowledged its legitimacy. Dan Stec? This is not a petty question or a frivolous issue. How many officials, elected to an office in local and\or state elections, and all of whom have sworn an oath to uphold the State's and the US Constitution, have denied the legality and legitimacy of Biden's Presidency? The hell with Texas. How about New York State?
No way we should let them leave. Sell Texas. We could use the money. Canada might like a nice warm beach of their own, I bet they’d outbid Mexico on it. But you never know who might jump in on the bidding, tho I think it’s a bit much for Elon Musk. Still, he might make a nice opening bid. That’s the thing about auctions, all you need are 2 interested bidders.

“At least we don’t want to join Canada.”
Speak for yourself. I can’t imagine what my ancestors were thinking. At least they stopped well before Louisiana.
Maybe we should let Texas go. As an experiment. They might be a bit more humble if they have to come asking to be readmitted.
It would be wonderful to get rid of Texas ~ then we need to convince Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Oklahoma to follow suit!
Maybe Tennessee too?
Can we add Kentucky?😂
Sorry I graduated from the Bluegrass state so I have a soft spot for it.
I get it. Love the history but no patience for Paul and McConnell.😂
Agree there 100 percent.
Those aging Texas power grids might be an issue too but hey, go for it!!
Sorry, I graduated from college in Kentucky, so I have a soft spot for the Bluegrass state.

Great idea.
Thanks, Ken. I enjoyed the piece. - John
