Do you actually believe all of this boloney that you write here, regularly? Is this a hobby of yours? Could your time not be better spent, Carl?

Most effective? How? So much of the craziness we have had to deal with in this country and around the world, follows the devastation created by COVID. I think Biden certainly rose to the occasion in his response to that disaster it takes years to heal from that. That isn't even addressing the healing that needs to come about from the damage Trump did to our relationships around the world and the horror he has stirred up in the "United" States. That will take decades to repair if it is even possible. Stefanik perpetuates that destructive approach.

True-Putin did have Trump wrapped up like a prize. That didn't work with Biden but then again he doesn't have him on tape with all of those girls and can't buy him so...

Trump was an embarrassment and other leaders just laughed at him. Certainly didn't want to interact with him. The man walks in front of the Queen he's so ignorant and disrespectful.

The other leaders in the world were ecstatic to have Biden as our President! He was welcomed all across the world, except of course, with trump's dictator buddies.

We’re you in a coma for the entire Trump presidency?

During COVID, trump did nothing to stop or even ATTEMPT to stop the spread. It is factual knowledge that because he chose to do nothing, millions of people died, businesses closed, and the whole country and world came to a standstill. This is what Biden inherited from a worthless president. Trump did push the production of the vaccine, but before he left office, never ordered more of the vaccine. Biden had to double down and ramp up the production and distribution of the vaccine. It has been a slow but steady return to pre-pandemic order. Trump rode on the coat tails of Obama when he became President. He was worthless during his 4 year travesty!

How can you say Defendant Trump did nothing? Every two weeks he came out and said it was going away in two weeks. He tried to keep a cruise ship from making port to keep his numbers down so he wouldn’t look bad. He pushed folks to use internet approved medicines like hydroxychloroquine and horse paste which could be easily obtained at Tractor Supply. He pushed innovative strategies like injecting bleach or shining a light inside your body.

His efforts are just so under appreciated.

Kevin is right, Trump did a lot but none of it was good.

Don’t just do something, stand there! Nothing might’ve been better.

To be fair, the vaccine was developed during his administration. It’s just that his supporters wouldn’t take it because their heads were filled with nonsense.

I recently saw that, I believe Cassidy Hutchinson put it out, Trump wouldn’t wear a mask because he went somewhere and wore one. When he took it off his bronzer was on the straps of it. So, obviously he wasn’t going to set an example by wearing one.

I’m hoping to still be alive and living in a democracy a few decades from now and be able to look back and say wow, that was pretty crazy, wasn’t it.

Actually the Center for Effective Lawmaking ranks her 68th among 222 Republicans so that is not “one of the most effective” in my view. Carl is right about my ideology. I profess that politicians should not lie to the people. Stefanik has done that consistently. I have no other ideology beyond that.

Apparently you can't see prices starting to go back down. Get out into the world. Neither Biden nor ANY president controls the price of gas. You don't even know THAT! Supply and demand. About a month ago, National Grid also announced that their prices will be going down. Pay attention.

I suppose the wars are also Biden's fault. At the end of Trump's presidency, millions of people in this country lost their jobs and others, their businesses because he did absolutely NOTHING to stop the Pandemic. He didn't even TRY!

I agrée with your observations and insight Ken regarding the goal and true purpose of what’s her name( can’t won’t say it)

But I would love for you to address the elephant in the room!! When are we going to put into place term limits and age limits for Congress??!!

We have a term limit for our highest office- the president of the United States. Our congress enjoy the benefits, status, privileges forever. We have seen on both sides of the aisle that many are truly not meeting thr needs nor serving their constituents. Sure they could b voted out but not happening- maybe complacency or frustration ( will it really make a difference??)on the our part!

Sigh. Going to walk my dog! The sun is out! Enjoy your day Ken! Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to vent

Sadly, I don’t think there is any scenario where Congress will try to put itself out of work with term limits. Remember, Rep. Stefanik said she would serve five terms - no more - she is now in her fifth term and no sign of leaving. Congress has become such a lucrative deal, why would anyone leave.

I saw someone opine recently that Nancy Mace with her recent insanity is making a run for Veep. She’s been a Trump critic and he loves a convert who’ll come begging. Although, Stefanik has that going for her she doesn’t have the other, ahem, assets that Mace brings to the table.

Personally, I’d love it if he picked ES. We’d get rid of her. Of course, if they got elected I might end up in a gulag. I expect I’d have lots of good company, tho.

Also, there is the fact that Trump thought that maybe his last vice president deserved to be hanged. I suppose that could be a reason to hope Stefanik gets the gig.

I don’t know why anyone would want to serve him. Jeff Sessions gave up a plum senator job to be AG and it was all downhill from there. At the very best, there’s not much chance of coming out of it with reputation intact. For people that care about their good name.

Elise Stefanik is part of the bombastic lie culture set in motion under former Predisdent Trump.

His embracing of hate has attracted many hangers on. In steps Elise...

To sit and wave the flag so Veterans and others will support her efforts to make us great again?

I recall now a random conversation back before th election of Trump. A substitute bus driver returned a pencil case of one of my daughters in 2016. I can't forget our conversation. A stranger to me expressed how she had been adopted as a child. How she admired my wifes and I for adopting and creating a multi ethnic family.

How she feared what my kids would see in the coming years if Trump were elected President. Because of what she saw coming. Hate lies and all that it breeds.

The education of a lifetime in a brief 15 minutes of chatter. She was right, scary how so.

Maybe she saw the likes of Milo Yiannopoulos and Stephen Bannon?

Breitbart news and the rise of hatred.

Or the finishing of 8 years of Obamas presidency? Our first black Predisdent?

More that has happened just recently cues my mind to recall the fact my gut told me over coffee with my Mom and now deceased Dad...Trump as President was no match for the wits of Vladimir Putin. The head of th KGB at one point.

Now we are at the brink of WW3.

Donald mishandling of documents was treason. Wow...

I recall seeing scuds blowing up over Tele Aviv at the beginning of the first Gulf War.

The first I heard of the recent attack on Isreal at an Hibachi restaurant with my family..tv on the corner of the bar.

Yes these are perilous times..

“Are any of afraid to walk the streets of downtown Glens Falls, Plattsburgh, Saranac Lake or Potsdam?”

I can only report on the utopia that is Fort Edward. I take a long walk every night after dark 😮 and the streets are safe as safe can be. Maybe Elise should actually spend some time in her district. The futile search for a speaker and the equally fruitless turning over rocks to find “evidence” of President Biden’s corruption to match what she claims to already have seems a waste.

She is in Congress to attain celebrity in order to fill some hole within her soul. 😔 As the bard from Hibbing told us, “you must choose fame or fortune, though neither of them are to be what they claim.” Thus, at the end of the day she’ll come to realize that and realize the promise that was wasted.

I did a quick look up on the crime rate in US cities, ranked according to property crimes and murders, number one being the most dangerous. Here is the link:

https://realestate.usnews.com/places/rankings/most-dangerous-places

Of course this is only one source, but it seems to be mostly smaller cities, a good many of them in red states, and none seemed to be so bad as to be unlivable. An even quicker lookup confirmed what I kind of already knew about NYC, that it is comparatively safe, certainly much, much safer overall than when I was growing up there in the 70’s and 80’s. The narrative that cities are out of control is false. Or why not give Biden credit for it since it’s gone down on his watch?

Carl Tucker, if you are getting your news from Fox, you are not hearing the truth from them most of the time.

Referencing your point about safely walking the streets of Glens Falls is not the case resently. This is where we miss our daily newspaper to keep us up on current events regarding the on going youth asults. Thankfully The Chronicle has informed those who read the weekly. This is extremely concerning for those of us living downtown.

In all of my decades living here in the North Country, I have not known a representative that did as poor a job as Elise Stefanik in representing our district. She is not only a serial teller of falsehoods, she is worthless in addressing any real needs for CD 21. Her personal ambition is her only concern. You have had her pegged correctly for years.
