Nice article! I was always impressed with Kyleen and her business. I’ve watched it grow through the years but didn’t realize she had the furniture floor. We were just there a couple of weeks ago. Best of luck to this special woman!!

Thanks for the update on Kyleen. I read your post in Volume 2 and just love that her enterprise is successful after 15 years. In a world of throw aways, it's refreshing to see clothes and furniture being reused. I plan to stop at her shop on my next trip south to Albany. Thanks again.

Kyleen's store on Glen Street (she has another store in Queensbury) is more like a Zen trip to see what one can find and I've found many treasures there. I appreciate your back story about Kyleen. It explains the love she puts into her work. David Strainer emphasizes that he wants to do the board's work without partisan divisions. That may have resulted in that wonderful voter outcome. Maury Thompson assiduously researches at the Folklife Center, which is a wonderful source of information about our community, as is the Chapman Museum. He has just been selected to receive the John D. Austin Jr. Award by the Warren County Historical Society, as he continues to provide news about our community in retirement.

I also saw the announcement about Maury being honored. Well deserved.

Ken,

Just picked up a copy (and a second copy for our son whose birthday is tomorrow) of your new book at Ace Hardware. It looks fascinating!

And it reminds me of what this old storyteller has often said: “We all have stories to tell in this world full of people with stories to tell.”

Thanks for your continuing inspiration!
