I recall Bobby Jindahl saying several years ago about Republican candidates "we have to stop being the party of stupid". Since that time stupid is coming out of the woodworks. Conspiracy theorists, racist, hateful candidates who once would have never been elected are winning. It's a race to see who can say the most outlandish remarks. Maybe it's more of a reflection on what we've become. It ain't good folks.
Speaking for people my age, I guess we’d need more handicap parking places because a five minute walk is too much for some of us especially if rain or snow. Tho I admit to being on the treadmill 2 - 3 times a week.
That’s a great point. Considering the aging population, I wonder if all of Glen Street should be made into a handicapped access or maybe at least one side.
“Carl is a job creator and conservative outsider who will be a tireless fighter for the people of New York in our fight to put America First to save the country,” Stefanik wrote.
I gotta wonder how much work that took. Some real wordsmithing there. Was any thought given to maybe keeping him outside?
Elise will never rescind the endorsement because that’s not the Trumpian way. Never back down or apologize because they’re MAGA fighters for America First blah blah blah.
Am I the only person that remembers the emails with the racist crap about the Obamas and the truly disturbing bestiality stuff? Praising Hitler’s leadership seems almost mild next to those.
It amazes me that there are people who seem to live without shame or repentance. It makes me feel better about my own. As much pain as it may cause, I think it would bother me more if it didn’t.
Unfortunately, you may be one of the few. Voters have a very short memory, especially over the past few years where the behavior of our politicians only gets worse. People need to be reminded regularly.
Ken, parking will always be an issue. It is difficult not for those not as able to walk. I think anyone who develops the South Street property between the Empire and former Sandy's has an obligation to provide off-street parking.
As for Stefanik, I'd be curious to see a chart listing her and those currently holding ANY elected NY State office who have not repudiated Trump's bogus claims of election fraud. Her endorsements are as worthless as Trump's, as her endorsement of Paladino shows her interested in furthering only conspiracy theorists and anyone who will help her in her ambitions for power. How does she sleep at night?
I agree we may finally be reaching the saturation point, but I still don’t think it is as bad as some say because they have been saying that for a long time. Parking for the new properties should absolutely be addressed.
I think the thing to remember about Stefanik is she has no interest in serving local people anymore. She has gotten a taste of power, the national limelight and she apparently will do just about anything to stay there.
When we were working to get the Wood Theatre built, and people always brought up parking, we used to say that as an economic development project it was our job to CREATE a parking problem in Glen Falls. And someone else’s job to then solve that. It’s an over simplification but I still think it holds true. Like you I have never had to walk more than 5 minutes to a downtown destination.

Horrible comment re Nazis of Palidino.

Not a bad idea!

Thanks for this Ken.
