I don't want to dimmish the value of Front Page, but I feel $50 (that I paid) is a bit much..
I would like subsack o do something like $75 and you have access to supporting five substack
The good news is.. you don't have to pay to comment here (not yet I guess), but a lot of substacks you do have to be a subscriber...
Part of what is missing today in media - - - > The desire. The desire to be read, the desire to be heard.
I am guessing if Mr. Tingley was given the choice: 20 paying readers OR 500 readers.. he would take the readers over the money... maybe even 100
I have a stack with about six visits a posting. I love being able to express my thoughts in a public forum and the fact that I am not making a living off of it, doesn't matter. I love having a place to vent..
Maybe substack (and many content makers) will look at Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and see that a million of $17 to $27 supporters is better than being owned by elon muskkkITLER
For three of the four years we have had The Front Page we had NO paid subscription option. I think that shows our commitment to the community in which we live and how important we think that some of these issues are covered.
There is still a free option and no one has to pay anything to read us, but the fact so many people have been willing to support us with paid subscriptions has been encouraging, including people like yourself.
I spend many, many hours each week researching and writing these columns. That is my choice. Sort of a second career. I love to write and will continue to do that in hopes it helps my community understand the issues we all face.
and free is still free..
I want to repeat my wish for substack

I acknowledge all of this.. even in my original comment
Bravo. and while my comment is posted on your substack
I appreciate your work
If you notice many of your readers (myself included), not only enjoy and value your columns..
BUT many of us also do as much reading, researching and understanding the current state we are in..
It is the least all of us can do for democracy.
I agree.
