A picked on misfit tried to kill the biggest bully on earth. Indefensible, appalling, tragic but not unbelievable.

Ken, I’m so proud of you for undertaking this task!! Very impressed with your determination tho definitely not surprised!

I think with what has happened recently we all need a dose of working together for the common good of all! Thank you! Can’t wait to check out The Chapman Museum!!

I did read yesterday that Elon Musk is donating $45 million per month to DJT PACs as well as JD Vance’s long time “boss” Peter Thiel (although his amounts haven’t been disclosed yet) as well as other tech billionaires to Trump. Vance was chosen because of his close association to lots of $$$$.

Good things happen when you invite people to join on a common goal. Thank you Ken for having the vision to bring Christmas alive and getting these other wonderful people together to work on it. I am excited to visit during Christmas time.

Tedra Cobb, rather than the tourist from Albany, should be representing northern NY in Congress.

Totally agree.

Gotta disagree with you on this one. Cobb was a weak candidate who could not stand up to Stefanik.

Out of curiosity, do you consider anyone who ran against Elise Stefanik to have been a “strong” candidate, including Matt Doheny who got bought off.

Tedra Cobb, IMO of course, has been the most qualified and least carpetbagger candidate to run to represent upstate. She didn’t get into a battle of nicknames tho. So, I suppose there is that.

I really can’t understand the paucity of qualified Democrats and Republicans who actually live in a district as immense as CD-21 willing to run for Congress. Instead, we have to import little striver from Albany.

I thought that Matt Castelli had the best chance but man was I wrong on that one! He seemed to me, at least, able to stand up to her.

I asked Ms. Cobb a very direct question that was a yes/no answer, as to whether she supported a universal Healthcare plan. She absolutely deflected my question.

I understand politics is a game. I am tired of it.

State your intentions and stand by them.

I just didn't really click with her I guess. But I did vote for her and will always vote against Ms. Stefanik.

And pledged not to lie.

I probably take anyone pledging not to lie to me with a grain of salt. I particularly love it when Donald Trump says “Believe me.” Whopper alert!

This morning’s read of “Front Page” was like reading the “old Post Star” after picking it up from the front door. Thanks!

Sounds like “Christmas in July” at the Chapman even surpasses the Hallmark Channel this month! :)

I worked with Neil Herr for a number of years in the Center for Reading and Writing at SUNY Adirondack. I was the resident conservative there, and shunned by many, but Neil and I became good friends despite our ideological differences. We both had a interest in music and writing. Neil is a great songwriter and writer. I saw him play music a number of times. He helped me with being more expressive in my writing. A really good, talented guy. Another thing we had in common was we both liked New Way Lunch, which I thought was weird for a left-wing hippie, but he’s originally from Texas so that might explain it. You can be on opposite sides of the political isle but still get along if you focus on what you have in common, and have a sense of humor about your differences.

Just watched the entire Biden interview with lester holt of NBC. Frankly, good old lester did NOT impress me. Biden did, tho. He did a great job and got his licks in too. I hope everyone watches the entire interview - it was very informative - sure seemed as though the whole debate disaster shouldnt be laid at Biden's door. Now the back-sliding Dems need to get themselves in gear and support Biden. Enough with the debate questions.

The President was quite lucid at the press conference following the NATO summit here as well. Lawrence O'Donnell covered this event in his show last week and asked his audience if Donald Trump could answer any of the foreign policy questions posed to the President in an intelligent manner.

I believe the President IS quite lucid! Really, he was older when he won in 2020 - of course hes older now - thats how age works! This attitude that because he had a bad debate (?) (debates dont win elections) that automatically wipes out the past 3 and a half years of accomplishments is really ridiculous. Certainly more so when the other candidate is Trump.

Jon Stewart had a good show Monday night too - worth watching.
