Thank you Will....I love seeing you, Bella, and your dog at KRU... Thank you for this glimpse into your life with Alzheimer's. God Bless you both and everyone else who's living with this horrible disease...
Oh, so true. Thank you, Julie. Thank you, Will and Bella for allowing us into your lives. It is a powerful gift. The stages of life are a continuing process coupled with strong emotions. Grace and compassion save us.
Being a caregiver is exhausting because you have to be on high alert all of the time-especially during the night. Your compassion and grace is a true gift of love given to Bella.
Happy Birthday, Bella. The dream must have been frightening, Will...and the cake must have been delicious. It was good to hear your voices, sweet and patient and loving. I loved seeing Ringo swimming and all the photos. And I mainly loved the lovingness, kindness, , humor and the wonderful (poetic) writing about what you experience, the moments and how you are with what is, the reality and the love. Thank you, Will and Bella. It was good being with you both this morning....
Will and Bella. Know that we love you very much, ever more as we read and hear of your journey through life. Would we all have your courage and love. Each column is a lesson in caring. Bless you both.
Will, ain’t nobody better. Your writing.. ✍️ brings back memories. Why not take up memoir writing? St. Paul’s to start. Rich with stories. Lots of Roman numerals. Lettered savants. Destination Princeton. Alzheimer’s and Lou Gehrig’s disease, amniotic lateral sclerosis..
Four page one pieces, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday… in the local newspaper, find them at www.sblewis.com, a priceless effort, Michael Powell, now The Atlantic’s asset, published with Danny Hakim, postponed from Christmas cover of The Magazine NYT to September, cost Gary M his job, no loss. Another story… for the memoir. What memoir?
Everything about this column is particularly beautiful...your way of describing things and oh my, oh my, the repetition of life you are experiencing. Wonderful pictures. We need lots more "Wills" in this world.
I think the trilling, high buzzing sound you heard was the call of an American toad. My friend has a pond, and around this time of year they are mating and laying eggs, and that is what they sound like!
A little peak into your life. Thanks for the audio.
✌️💕
I don’t know anyone with Alzheimer’s (yet), but I so appreciate your beautiful writing about your life with Bella, your love and humble patience.

I can only hope that at some point in my life I find someone who loves me the way you love Bella. ❤️
May we all approach our challenges with such grace and compassion. Day at a time.

I think you're right. Thank you
Dearest Will. thank you for the generous invitation to your love filled kitchen. It was an honor to join you.
Thank you for this peak into your life. ❤️
I do believe the trilling noise is actually a toad. Listen to the American toad here:

I say a little prayer for you both all the time. You are a rock such an example of unconditional love. Thanks for sharing, Will.
