My wife and our family and friends have been going to the ballon festival since we moved here in 2006. We always make a day of it with a tailgate cook out and flying kites after the launch. Sadly, because of the increase in COVID cases we have decided to stay away from crowds

and pass this year. It is just not worth the risk with the increase in cases in Warren County. I hope that those who do go stay safe and are smart about it. I also hope they have a successful launch.

It seemed like at the start of the pandemic, this community really pulled together to keep everyone safe, but it appears we are seeing less of that which is very disappointing. I don’t think you are alone in rethinking a public outing. I wanted to go to the Glens Falls football game last weekend, but after seeing the latest numbers on local Covid cases, I stayed at home.

Saw production of “Slow Food” this summer. Was very funny. But Senior Citizens like Matinees and they haven’t much parking.

Perhaps what the Wood Theater needs is valet parking? I’ve always been able to park over in the bank parking lot off Maple Street (next to Queensbury) for shows and always enjoy the stroll through the park.
