I wonder if Rosemary is familiar with Edith Ronne, for whom the Ronne Ice Shelf was named. She was the first woman to set foot in Antarctica, 1st of 2 women to winter over in Antarctica, and she was a journalist on her husband Finn Ronne’s Expedition 47/48 which mapped much of the peninsular Rosemary likely landed on.
Rosemary is such a breath of fresh air on The Roundtable. I love listening to her opinions. I knew she was adventurous , but this trip sounds so good exciting! Go Rosemary!
I did not vote in the “Favorite Football Team” poll. I do not like football. Over the past couple of decades, I have come to see it as a modern version of Roman Gladiator games. Lots of privileged people spend lots of attention and money watching, but participants die.

The early explorers that we have learned about certainly paved the way!
I can't imagine that they made it through the Drake Passage in those times, say nothing about today!
Rosemary is remarkable in many ways!!
Thank you for sharing this article!
I confess I just envy adventurers like her. Hope she took many photographs.
