York was appointed "interim" sheriff, until they find a permanent sheriff. They had 50 or so applicants for the position but apparently picked former sheriff York. Lotsa luck City of Plattsburgh.

Tragedy of Macbeth is a stunning tour-de-force especially if you appreciate Shakespeare!

I'll echo an earlier comment here and suggest another film to consider — Joel Coen's "The Tragedy of Macbeth."

While not nominated as an Academy Best Picture (although it should have been), it received nominations for Best Leading Actor for Denzel Washington, as well as Best Cinematography and Best Production Design.

Why do I recommend it? The story is as relevant today as it was in Shakespeare's time. The acting, along with Shakespeare’s words, the minimalist sets, and cinematography, all bring to life the characters' lust for political power and descent into madness. It's essentially a modern psychological thriller with a touch of supernatural horror.

It's available to stream on Apple TV+.

I did see that and Denzel is awesome. But Shakespeare is alway a bit of a heavy lift.

The one hope for the Democrats: The GOP destroys itself with internecine conflict. Thanks Elise. They’ve become a religion with an orange man-child as their god. And religions have always been the most vicious and cruel to those within their own group. If she needs a club or matches I’d be glad to hand them to her.

Watched Attica this a.m., pray and hope conditions have greatly improved. Totally agree re Power of Dog, haven’t seen any others but am so happy to see reviews of possibly good movies.
