Anyone who believes that Ms Stefanik is putting NY21 should ask why she voted against the CHIPS Act. It's legislation that funds a $10 billion investment in Saratoga County and the creation of hundreds of very high paying jobs.

Ken, yet another great close reading of Stefanik's messaging. Her bombastic use of language as you demonstrate says it all.

Soon to be followed with endless comments on House investigations. Solutions to inflation, energy needs, crime etc will quickly disappear.

To be fair to eLIEs.. her 'solution' will be to give more tax breaks to the rich that hopefully will be blocked by the democrats

And just who did send this “news” release to?

eLIEs is a viscous circle. She writes a dishonest press release, sends it to shoppers like Sun Community.. then posts the printed version on her social media ...

She has learned from don the con, if you stop your supporters from believing the truth.

Feed a man fish and he eats for a day

teach him to be ignorant and he will be a republican for life

Instead of talking to local reporters directly, she issues a blanket statement. That way there is no follow up questions.

True.. I would be interested in what she says at her republican get-together.. I am sure her handlers make sure even those people don't ask hard questions, like if she would vote to take social security away.

And in everything that I have ever heard or say --- or publish.. seldom are hard facts. Things like "I support the second amendment" but never what her exact policy is

It is odd that no other local elected officials have complained about local media - only her.

very well said. Yes like a commander on the offensive--against all the wrong targets. The Republican strategy is to attack, take revenge, never name the real danger of the attempt to overthrow the last presidential election, to rouse violence, to restrict voting rights, nor the threats and violence of their/her leader Trump to be the autocrat surrounding by loyalists...The right wing always attacks the media (and censors books, restricts education,.names news "faked" and elections "rigged.." That Stefanik has become such an ardent conspiracy theorist is dangerous, as is the fact that our area voted for her. It is not "biased" to analyze, reflect, do reality checks, to quote, to speak what is true. I am thankful for our local newspapers...

thank you, Ken

Wouldn't it be wonderful to see the people of NY 21 elect a representative who is concerned for the betterment of the constituents of NY 21 and the betterment of the country as a whole, a representative with backbone and moral fiber, who put people first ahead of the primacy of self-interest, versus continuously electing a merchant of hate.

Sounds like Chris Gibson and Scott Murphy.

I wish everyone who agrees with this article by Ken, make a copy and mail it to her office. Maybe if enough people did she'd be forced to read it. I don't think it would change her, but I do think for a brief moment, she'd pause. It saddens me that so many people support her. They really have no idea.

Ken, just an honest question. How many total Conservatives/Republicans do you think work in all of the news/editorial departments of the media companies you listed in your article? Do you think it matches the ratio of conservative/liberal folks throughout her entire district? I do not know the Congresswoman personally...but maybe she feels many in the local news media is stacked against her.

I suspect the political beliefs of employees of newspapers generally reflect the communities in which they live. That said, any newspaper reporter who let their personal beliefs into their news copy would be disciplined or fired for a violation of ethics policy.

Mike, a journalist’s personal political ideals should not effect their ability to reports facts for a story. If Elise thinks they are against her, perhaps she needs to review her “truth”. My very conservative brother reported for the Post-Star and later for the TU.

I agree. She should give examples of the bias she sees. She attacks many good things with hateful speech.
