I’m not including my couch photo today, because we’ve been away this past week on Long Island, spending time with relatives and lounging in the sun or shade, which means no column.
Promising to write a column while on vacation is one of those things that, at 62, I should be realistic enough to avoid. I’ll have all week! — that’s the thought that arises. But I need the proper setting, as well as the time, to get things done, and a place near the beach, with a panoply of cousins around me, is not conducive to accomplishing much of anything.
I’m worried about the trip, about keeping track of Bella and our dog, Ringo, but I’m sure the change in routine and the stimulation of seeing people I’ve known and loved my whole life will be wonderful. I’m writing this before we go, but by the time you read it, we’ll be back. Next week, perhaps, I’ll talk more about the experience. Right now, I have to load the car.
Enjoy LI and your cousins!
Sounds like you had a nice and needed change of pace. Peace to you and yours!
